Coco Aminos, an alternative to soy sauce, are made from coconut flower nectar. Big Tree produces Coco Aminos in small batches directly in Bali. This tropical sauce, free from soy and gluten, is crafted with the addition of fine Balinese sea salt.
Coco Aminos are versatile and boast a robust, spicy flavor with fruity-sweet undertones compared to soy sauce. We enjoy using this sauce in salads, for instance, as a substitute for balsamic vinegar. If you prefer a slightly acidic taste, you can also use it with apple cider vinegar or lemon juice. Additionally, we use Coco Aminos as an alternative to soy sauce. However, it’s worth noting that the sauce is noticeably sweeter than soy sauce, so you shouldn’t expect the exact same flavor.
